Vertical Edge Genetics practices the art of fine breeding in
our seedstock operation that produces PAP tested Angus, SimAngus and Fleckvieh
cattle. We strive to produce moderate framed, efficient, sound structured
mother cows that excel in a high desert environment. With that efficiency we
demand good work ethic and profitable performance in our 4 – 5 frame cows. We
do not creep feed, and run on non-irrigated native grass pastures with just
salt and mineral supplement.
We utilize line-breeding in our breeding program to produce
a consistent, reliable, practical product that is unique within the industry.
We also infuse Fleckvieh bloodlines into SimAngus cattle to boost heterosis,
improve longevity, and to produce some of the finest feeder calves and
replacement females that will work in most segments of the industry.
Using lifelong experience, education, integrity and
foresight, we expect to produce seedstock genetics that are highly satisfying
to a variety of customers.
